It took going to Jamaica on a solo volunteer trip to realise that skinny isn’t the only shape that is considered beautiful. I found confidence while abroad and hope that you all know too, that the majority of the world finds women with curves to be the ideal body type. It is unfortunate that we have to go to a different country to believe this, but even if you aren’t able to travel overseas, know that there are literally millions of people who love your body; even if you don’t. My mind set has shifted from wanting to be thin to wanting to be healthy. Thank you for that gift, Jamaica. Big up mi friens on da island man!
